Facts of Life
Psalm
143:7
Answer me speedily, O LORD;
my
spirit fails!
Do not hide Your face from me,
lest I be like those
who go
down into the pit. (NKJ)
People
who live their lives knowing and believing that they truly belong to the Living
God of the Bible, humbly and prayerfully cry out for God’s help when they need
it. They are not exempt from the
hardships that come with living in this fallen world, for there will always be
times in this life when our circumstances are far beyond our control—when we
feel as if our life is simply ebbing away, where each moment is critical and we
feel as if we may soon succumb to the pressure.
And it is when we come to the end of ourselves that our spirits can soon
follow suit and we become dangerously distraught. It is during these kinds of moments that our
dependence on God is not only of the utmost importance for our very survival,
but the personal relationship it creates with the Lord becomes critical to our
spiritual health.
Whenever
we back pedal from our dependence on God, this life not only brings us despair,
but it can also zap our strength and our desire for living. When God is absent from our lives, His
absence enables the enemies of God to gain easy access into our hearts and reek
even more havoc at a time when we are the most vulnerable. It is for this very reason that we must
remain steadfast in both our faith and in His Presence, so He can win the
battles for us. When we have God’s
countenance, we have victory! Without
it, we lose! Although God may not
always help you exactly how you want Him to or when you want Him to, you can be
sure that when you belong to God and remain faithful, He will pull you through
your troubles and shine His favor upon your life. God’s children can always be sure that His
mercy has wings when our misery is extreme!
A Whisper
of Hope
Without
Me, dear child… you will surely succumb to the hard realities of
this lost and decaying world. Without Me
you will blindly stumble through this dark world in vain. Without My Guiding Light for your
life-journey you will surely fall into a pit of darkness and despair with the
possibility of being forever separated from My Presence. This is the Truth—it is a fact of Life!
Daniel
6:26-27
For He is the living God and He will endure
forever. His kingdom will never be destroy-
ed, and His rule will never end. He rescues
and saves His people; He performs miraculous
signs and wonders in the heavens and on
earth. (NLT)
The
LORD is faithful in all He says;
He is gracious in all He does.
(Psalm 145:13)
