“God’s Peace”
Psalm 4:8
I will lie down in peace and sleep,
For You alone, O LORD, will keep me safe. (NLT)
There
is no better way to live this difficult life than turning it over to the Lord
our God and trusting Him to guide you in all circumstances. We were not created with enough ability to
deal with and overcome every circumstance that is put before us, especially
those circumstances that are beyond our control. Humbly admitting that we are not in control
is never an easy thing for most people, because we like to think we are in
control even when we are not. And when
all that we know how to do fails, we tend to lose hope and at the end of our
frustrating day we cannot sleep. And
when we cannot sleep our health will fail, which causes anxiety and depression
to set in. When we give our lives to the
Lord, we are asking Him to personally guide us through our life-journey and we
learn to trust Him, for He is our life-line to better living in this world and
in the next perfect one.
It
was only after I turned my decaying life over to God that I was able to get up
in the morning without dreading the days outcome, because I knew that no matter
what the day brought, that the Lord would be with me and my life was safely in
His hands. When we rely on the Author of
Life to guide us through all of our circumstances, it will lighten the burdens
we bear so we can move through the day with confidence. And at the end of our
day we are able to sleep in peace knowing that the Lord is watching over
us. But even though we are safely in God’s
hands, life in this fallen world will continue to be hard and unpredictable
until He takes us Home. The greatest
Hope we have, whether we wake up to face another day or not, is that we will be
in the presence of the Living God when we awaken.
A Whisper of Hope
Rely on Me
in faith, My child... so you can travel your life-journey safely in My
hands. This day was graciously given to
you. Rejoice in it, refusing to worry
about what lies ahead. Pray in faith and
I will keep you safe.
Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (NASB)
Now may the Lord of peace
Himself continually
grant you peace in every
circumstance.
(2
Thessalonians 3:16)
