“Mighty in
Strength”
Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (NKJ)
Trusting and believing in
the sovereignty of God is the only way we can maintain the staying power it takes to survive the onslaught of attacks from
the Enemy of God and this fallen world, and do it with fearless joy in our
hearts and the hope for better days ahead.
The powerful forces of evil that are consuming our world are much too
strong for mere human strength alone.
And sadly, for many of us, when our human strength is not enough, we turn
to alcohol, drugs, sex, money, gambling, working, shopping, and many other
kinds of worldly gods that only numb the pain of our failures and give us a
false sense of courage to face another day and the hopelessness it brings. It is our fallen human nature to first search
the world for things that can satisfy our deepest human longings, often
ignoring our Creator who is the only One that can deliver us from our
fears.
Whenever
I ponder the awesome power of God, it always amazes me that we have this
incredible power readily available to give us the staying resources we need
that will win the everyday battles for
our hearts and souls. It is only because
of God’s unconditional love and His mercy and grace that gives us the chance to
overcome the dark forces of this world that want to defile God’s glory, one
person at a time. By trusting and
relying on the Lord God to lead your life-journey, will give you the strength
and wisdom to fight the Enemy of your soul.
My dear friend, our awesome God created us in such a way that we would
always need to depend on Him for all our needs; both in this life and in the
next. And once you understand and
believe this truth, you can boldly face each and every new day with both
confidence and peace that the victory is yours, because you are living in
Christ Jesus the Lord and Savior of the world; the One who conquered sin and
death for you.
A
Whisper of Hope
Walk with
Me…dear child, in this new year, for when you do you will have all you
need for living in this uncertain and difficult world. I will fill you with strength, wisdom, and
the power of the Holy Spirit for this new adventure into unknown territory for
you. Do not cling to the old sinful ways
you have, instead, seek My new and holy Way.
Job 9:4
For God is so wise and so mighty.
Who has ever challenged Him successfully? (NLT)
Do not be grieved,
for the joy of the LORD is your strength
(Nehemiah 8:10)
