                             In His Grip
Numbers 14:9
Do not rebel against the LORD, and don’t
be afraid of the people of the land.  (NLT)

Rebelling against God is to sin against His holy ways. We are living in rebellion whenever we ignore God and live anyway we want. But God is always with those who submit to His Authority. He is always there ready to help and guide us through this difficult life. We can trust our Creator and Savior, because He had a Plan to save us from our rebellion before He created us. The Lord commands us to be holy, but we cannot because our sinful cravings are stronger than our fallen wills. Our Holy God came to us as a man of flesh and blood to live a sinless life so He could become the final Sacrificial Lamb of God, taking away the sins of the world. The righteousness of Jesus is now our own righteous-ness, if we so desire. When we accept the death and resurrection of Jesus as our own, we become a new creation, clothed in perfection and justified by the blood of Jesus.
When you are one with the Savior, you need never fear anything or anyone again, because Jesus has defeated the worst and most dangerous enemies you have (sin and death). Your Savior has set you free from the evil power of sin and fearing the unknown. The evil powers of darkness render helpless against the holiness of God that is yours and nothing can take you away from God's mighty grip.  One day all of the evil and darkness will be removed from this world, but until that day, my friend, walk with Christ Jesus and fear no one but the Author and Finisher of Life—who is your Protector as well.

                                 A Whisper of Hope
You will live in peace, dear child…when you live in Me. Do not turn away in rebellion, for you cannot fight and defeat the Enemy alone.  When you do you lose.  You must depend on Me, instead of foolishly going your own way.   Run into My arms and be saved!

2 Corinthians 1:9-10
In fact, we expected to die.  But as a result, we learned not to rely on ourselves,
but on God who can raise the dead.  And He did deliver us from mortal danger.
And we are confident that He will continue to deliver us.  (NLT)

But if you keep turning away and rebelling,
you will be destroyed by your enemies.
                               (Isaiah 1:20)
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          September 29
                           One to Trust
Mark 9:24
“I do believe, but help me not to doubt!”  (NLT)

Although believing that God is real and alive is an important first step, there is so much more that we must know, understand, and accept in order to have a lasting relationship with our Lord God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Because we live in a world cursed by sin and death, most of us find it difficult to trust in anyone or anything without doubt and worry clouding our minds.  And this is especially true when it comes to trusting some One we cannot see with our eyes.  It is our fallen human nature to be overly wary about everything.  But in the scope of how large the universe is and how complex and intricate life and its very survival is, I have always found it very easy and quite natural to believe in our Creator God; One who is infinitely superior and far above our finite human ways.  But when it came to trusting God with my life, that was a different story, because I thought He didn't even know who I was, or even cared. It was because of my suspicious fallen nature that I had no relationship with this invisible God who I didn’t have a clue about.  Because this fallen world always fails to fully satisfy the desires of the heart, it lets us down time and time again, and most of us will come into our relationship with God with our guards up, ready to justify ourselves and defend our ways.
As imperfect human beings we usually expect the worst, because we want to protect ourselves from being hurt or disappointed again.  But as the Lord draws us closer and closer into our relationship with Him, the more we learn about who He is and all He is doing.  As our relationship deepens, our trust grows one day at a time until we are fully vested into His glorious Kingdom.  There will come a day when most of your doubts and fears about the Lord God will vanish and be replaced with His peace.  If the Lord God can create everything that exists out of nothing and hold it together in perfect order so we can exist, and if He can defeat the power of sin and raise the dead, and if He can save any sinful life, no matter how sinful it has been, and transform the godless into holiness, then He is the One, my friend, that you should fully vest your trust in and never doubt!

                           A Whisper of Hope
Come close to Me, My child…and I will give you an eternal life that is perfect and fill your heart with peace.  The creator is always greater than that which he creates, therefore, you can rely on Me.  You can always trust Me, for I Am always Faithful and True to My Word!

John 12:35-36
Jesus replied, “My Light will shine out for you just a little while
longer.  Walk in it while you can, so you will not stumble when
the darkness falls. If you walk in the darkness, you cannot see
where you are going. Believe in the Light while there is still time;
then you will become children of the Light.”  (NLT)

Believe in the LORD your God,
and you will be able to stand firm.
Believe in His prophets, and you will succeed.
                        (2 Chronicles 20:20)
                                                                                                                                                                                                              September 28
                               Truth or Consequence
Psalm 36:1
Sin whispers to the wicked,
     deep within their hearts.
they have no fear of God to
     restrains them.
In their blind conceit, they
     cannot see how wicked
they really are.  (NLT)

One of the best deterrents for not doing things you know are wrong, is fearing the consequences of being caught before you do it. Stiff penalties for breaking the laws of the land keep normal people from committing crimes, but those who have no fear of authority do whatever they feel like doing.  The same can be said about breaking God's Laws. When we know what God requires of us and what our unrepentant sin brings to the table, we are more apt to do what is good in the eyes of God than not. But when we don't know God, we are more likely than not, to do what our evil nature desires, because there is no fear of God’s eternal consequences. This world is so far removed from God that most people spend their entire lives sinning without knowing it. They live in the ways of this fallen world unaware of God's absolute truths. They blindly follow the lusts of their carnal flesh without really knowing how evil they are living and how dire the consequences are until it's too late. What this world deems as right and good is, in the eyes of God, sin, which is punishable by eternal death if gone unforgiven.
I lived like so many people do; blindly living this life knowing little about God's absolute truth and  was not really concerned about the later consequences.  When we live without Truth or consequences, it's hard to discern right from wrong, or good from bad. When you believe this life is all about your happiness and success, the devil has you right where he wants you—denying God and not fearing His absolute truths.  The key to understanding life, especially yours is the fear of God, for He is the only One who gives you the breath of life and He is the only One who can take the life out of your soul.  Without the fear of eternal consequences, you will live however you please. When you don't have to answer to a Higher Authority, you become that authority—you become your own god, but one that will soon perish.  Living apart from God, my friend, is both foolish and deadly.  Know the Truth and believe in it and live by it, because that is living in the true sense of the word.

                                  A Whisper of Hope
Be wise, My child…and fear the Lord your God, for only I can take away the life I gave you.  It is wise to know the Truth and fear the consequences.  There are many voices, but only One Truth. Living God's way will bring good consequences.  Living anything else, does not!

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God
is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.  (NLT)

                               Victory Sings
Exodus 15:2
The LORD is my strength and song,
and He has become my salvation.
He is my God and I will praise Him.  (NKJ)

The LORD did not create us to be self-sufficient, nor did He put us in a vast universe and then leave us to chance.  We are a product of Gods marvelous creativity.  We are living human beings created in His image, with a purpose and a place in God’s Eternal Plan.  We are created by God for God's glory.  We have many of the same emotions, desires, and attributes of our Creator, but we lack His infinite wisdom and His sovereign power.  So where we lack, the Lord takes up the slack.  Our fate lies in the grace of our sovereign God, and if we are to experience any real peace in this life, we must know who the LORD is and why He created us.  And then, with the knowledge that God has allowed us to have, we must believe in its Truth and live accordingly.  Everything on earth is carefully monitored by God and is used for His good purpose, because He sees the entire picture from start to finish.
As finite human beings created by God, we can never fully know or understand God.  But we can be sure that what He has allowed us to know and understand is enough.  He wants us to know that without Him to sustain, provide, comfort, and save us, our souls would be lost to the devil.  Without the blood of God the Son there would be no forgiveness, no redemption, and no hope of ever seeing God Face to face.  Without God the Holy Spirit we would remain powerless against the dark forces of Satan and this evil world.  Without the LORD our God there would be nothing but meaningless chaos without hope or purpose.   Without the Almighty Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, our songs would be few and our victories null.   But with Him, the songs of victory are sung.

                                   A Whisper of Hope
Knowing Me, dear child…is knowing the Truth, and with it comes an amazing peace that will get you through the worst this world has to offer.  For when you know the Truth, you know that what lies ahead is perfect and wonderful, with the songs of Heaven’s Best.

Colossians 3:16
Let the words of Christ, in all their richness, live in your hearts
and make you wise.  Use His words to teach and counsel each
other. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with
thankful hearts.  (NLT)

                                     Your Sacrifice
Psalm 116:12
What can I offer the LORD
for all He has done for me?  (NLT)

In my humble opinion, and from the deepest depth of my heart and soul, I believe that the best thing a true believer can offer their Creator, Provider, Protector, Savior, Advocate, and Lover of their soul is the very life that He created and then saved from eternal death. Our holy and just God saved the people of this wicked world from the darkness and damnation that is rightly deserved. And He did it by physically suffering, dying, and taking our punishment. Our Lord God was brutally murdered by religious thugs for crimes He did not commit. He did this to satisfy God’s anger against His people who no longer followed His ways and a world that blatantly turned against its Creator. Our God is a Saving God and He has been more than patient with this evil world, which is probably more wicked than it was in Noah's days before He destroyed mankind with the flood.  And yet, our Lord God has given this wicked world fair warnings and another escape route so that everyone (not just a select few) will have the chance to change their evil ways and avoid the destruction and eternal condemnation that is coming.
But this fallen world tells us a different story.  It blames God for all the pain, suffering, sickness and injustice that appears to have no end—that God does not care and has left us to our own demise.  But our merciful God is not at fault my friend, it's because this wicked world is governed by evil and its people have turned away from God and chosen Satan instead.  We cannot know the ways of God this side of Heaven, but we can know that the Lord is giving the lost and misinformed people of this fallen world more time to hear the Good News Gospel of Jesus Christ.  But as God's redemptive plan draws to an end, there is still time to nail your sinful life to the Cross of Christ and be born again in Spirit and Truth.  For with the blood of Jesus covering your sins, you will escape the terrible wrath of God that will be poured out upon this evil world.

                                   A Whisper of Hope
I sacrificed My life for you, dear child...now it's time to sacrifice your life for Me.  I came to die for you, so you could live.  I shed My blood to cleanse your sin and paid the price that belonged to you.  I came, I died, and paid your debt!

Romans 12:1
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you
to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and
holy sacrifice—the kind He will accept.  When you
think of what He has done for you, is this too much
to ask?  (NLT)

“I assure you, unless you are born again,
you can never see the Kingdom of God.”

                                The Great Escape
Proverbs 5:22
An evil man is held captive by
     his own sins;
They are ropes that catch and
     hold him.  (NLT)

As people living under the curse of sin and death, it is our fallen human nature to sin first and worry about the consequences later. The evil in our hearts opposes the righteousness of God and has the power to hold us captive to our carnal flesh. While in this mortal body, we are prisoners to what-ever controls the way we think and live. And until you know the Truth, you will never escape the power that sin has over your life and you will remain its slave, bound to a wicked world that is pulling you into hell. When you are driven by your sinful desires, you mock the goodness of God, and every breath you take will lead you farther from the Truth, and the harder it is to escape the darkness. The power of Satan and sin is the driving force behind our world and sadly, most people fall for it and get imprisoned by it. Many people who hear the Good News of Jesus Christ laugh at the absurdity of it all and pass it off as myth or fiction. Many will hear the Truth, but say it’s not for them. Unfortunately, most people will continue to indulge in the pleasure of sin no matter what they hear, for satisfying the flesh in spite of the consequences is the way of the world.
But there are many discouraged people who are crying out for help and hoping to wake up from their nightmare of living in a hopeless world that can only offer them more of the same hopelessness.   It is these truth seekers who will hear the Good News and take God's offer.  They will sense that Christ Jesus is their only Hope of escaping the decadence of this dying world.  They are tired of living in a world that promises much, hardly delivers, and will lose it all when they die.  The only things we can count on from this world are lies, false promises, deception, disappointment, evil, sinful additions, immorality, temporary pleasure, death, and the full wrath of God when it’s all said and done.  Don’t be a slave to Satan and this wicked world.  Instead, come to the Lord just as you are and let Him break the chains so you can escape the darkness that is killing your soul.  You don’t have to die chained to your sins, my friend, because you have a Savior and He has already set you free.

                                     A Whisper of Hope
I can break the chains, child...and bring you into My Everlasting Light.  I can free you from the darkness that holds you prisoner to fear and death.  I can set you free from the powers of Hell and lead you into eternal life.

Isaiah 50:10
Who among you fears the LORD and
     obeys His Servant?
If you are walking in darkness,
     without a ray of light,
trust in the LORD and rely on your God.  (NLT)

       Do not let sin control the way you live;
do not give in to its lustful desires.

                               Amazing Saving Grace
Micah 7:7
Therefore, I will look to the LORD; I will wait for
the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.  (NKJ)

I can now fully trust in the Lord my God. I put my life into His hands each day He gives me the breath of life. And because Christ saved me from the eternal condemnation I deserve, I trust Him with my dying as well.  And as this relationship deepens, I am able to see more clearly how He has used the many foolish mistakes I made to strengthen my faith and prepare me for the mission at hand.  The Lord kept me from dying in my sin because He not only loves me, but wanted to use me in a unique way for the good of His Kingdom. We know the Lord God is in the people saving business because He did not create us to die; He made us eternal beings. Before God created us He had a redemptive plan in place, because He knew we would need it.
People need to know the truth about this fallen world and the reason it's so difficult to live in, impossible to rely on, and brings us grief and death.  Without the grace of the Living God, we are putty in the hands of Satan. Without Jesus we are caught in the devil’s web of lies while he sucks the life out of our souls.  Everyone needs the Savior who came into our fallen world to rescue us from our sinful ways and to save us from the eternal condemnation that we justly deserve.  Every person living in this decaying world needs Jesus, because without His saving grace there is absolutely no way to receive eternal life.  The Lord is always available, my friend, to help you escape the prison of darkness that awaits so many innocent and unsuspecting souls.  The Living God is the only Savior for our eternal souls, even those who think they have fallen too far from His amazing, saving grace.

                                    A Whisper of Hope
I listen closely, dear child…for the cries of those lost in the darkness.  I let no cry for help go unanswered.  I AM GOD, the Savior for all who want to break free from this wicked world that seeks to kill the soul.  You don’t have to die, for I AM eternal life for you.

Psalm 18:30
As for God, His way is
     perfect;
The word of the LORD
   is proven;
He is a Shield to all who trust in Him.  (NKJ)

Because the Sovereign LORD helps me,

                                 Hot for Christ
Revelation 3:19
I am the One who corrects and disciplines everyone
I love.  Be diligent and turn from your indifference.  (NLT)

If the Lord God did not love human beings like He does, He would have washed His hands of us a long time ago and we would all die in our sin and reap the ugly consequences.  Because the Lord is perfectly righteous and just, unforgiven sin must be dealt with.  But He is also a merciful and gracious God who is filled with love and compassion for people, sin and all.  God was quick to respond to the sins of Adam and Eve, promising a Divine Savior who would crush the head of Satan and provide the Way back into His Holy Presence.  And from that time forward, the Lord has been pursuing people faithfully, correcting and disciplining us when needed, because He wants no one to suffer the horrors of eternal condemnation.  Since the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit has been working in our world in order to wake us up to the truths about life and death, and Heaven and Hell.  Since God’s ways are far above our finite ways, we must humbly trust in the ways of the God who saved us. God's Way is best, no matter how unfair they seem to us.
Why God allows some to die young in their sins and saves others when they are old and sick is not our concern; it is not for us to know this side of Heaven.  We must simply trust in God’s sovereign plan for man and believe in the gift of salvation that He so graciously purchased for us.  When we reject the infinite Truth of God for the false truths of this wicked world, we become deceived by blatant lies and led to make choices that we will regret.  Trusting God’s Truth and His discipline is a prerequisite to successfully navigating through this hard and dangerous life-journey.  Surrendering your life to the Lord and accepting His death and resurrection as your own, is the key that unlocks the door to God’s complete forgiveness, His gift of salvation, a new godly life.  With Christ Jesus you have the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  He is the Saving Light for this dark and dying world, and He is the only One who can usher you through Heaven’s door.

                                    A Whisper of Hope
Be at peace, My child…trust in the plans I have for you; plans for a future that is bright and full of life.  My great love is unknowable, my compassion is beyond great, and My justice is perfect.  Don’t be indifferent to the plans I have for you, and always allow Me to lead the Way.

Isaiah 55:8-9
“My thoughts are completely different from yours,” says the LORD.
“And My ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.  For just
as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than
your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.”  (NLT)

But since you are like lukewarm water,
I will spit you out of My mouth!
                         (Revelation 3:16)

                             Remain Forgiven
Luke 21:34-36
But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with
carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come on
you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell
on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that
you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to
pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”  (NKJ)

It is so amazing that the Almighty God of heaven and earth left His glory behind to give us fair warning about the coming wrath the He will unleash upon this evil world that is governed by the Prince of Darkness.  Satan has been successfully deceiving mankind since the dawn of time and it will continue to be so until Jesus returns to rid the earth of evil and to set up His Kingdom. The warning clearly shows that we have a merciful and gracious God who created us to be His children forever, for He did what needed to be done to make it so.  Unlike Satan and his band of fallen angels, God gives mankind a second change to be forgiven and redeemed.  The Lord loves human beings above everything else He created, and He takes no delight when we sign the eternal lease for the eternal Lake of Fire with Satan, and all his fallen angels.
Sadly, there will be many who call themselves God's people and Christians who will be caught with their pants down when the Lord removes His Church and unleashes His deadly wrath upon this earth for seven dark and bloody years.  Our God is a patient God who has given us gracious time to choose His Way or the devil's way. When you choose God’s Way you die to self and are born again in Christ Jesus, no longer living and thinking as the world does.  Instead, you live and love like Jesus, because the moment of His return, you do not know. So remain alert, and stay free from the darkness.  For a moment of pleasure is not worth the risk, my friend.  Be forgiven and remain forgiven!

                                 A Whisper of Hope
I provided the Way, My child…because of My Great Love for you.  Don’t be tempted and fall for the lies of the Enemy who wants to destroy your life and kill your soul.  Remain in the Light of My saving grace and all will be forgiven.

Revelation 3:10
Because you have obeyed My command to persevere,
I will protect you from the great time of testing that
will come upon the whole world to test those who
belong to this world.  (NLT)

Do not be misled.  Remember that
you cannot ignore God and get away with it.

                                 His Light is Pure
Matthew 6:22-23
Your eye is a lamp for your body. A pure eye lets
sunshine into your soul. But an evil eye shuts out
the light and plunges you into darkness. If the
light you think you have is really darkness, how
deep that darkness will be!  (NLT)

When God's children look purely upon the goodness of the LORD, letting the Son shine into their souls, they find peace and hope in difficult circumstances, because they know that no matter what, they are safely in His grip.  But people who take in the evilness of this dark world are shut off from God’s Light and if continued, slip even deeper into a darkness far removed from God. It is our fallen human nature to hide our sinfulness, which leads into a double life and worse. And the more evil we put into our minds and hearts, the darker our soul becomes, until it becomes so dark that we can't see the way out. But when we cast our gaze upon the Lord with pure eyes, we always find Him; the Light of Life that helps us see through the darkness.  Looking through evil eyes, we see nothing but darkness.
The sin that you enjoy for a while may satisfy your evil lusts with its instant pleasure, but if it remains hidden, it will only lead to the three dire D’s: Darkness, Death, and Decay.  The world is infected with the wicked, evil ways of Satan—temptations that come straight from darkness of Hell—a darkness that destroys lives and kills the soul.  The only Hope anyone has of escaping the evil that is consuming this world, my friend, is through the Light of God’s saving grace found in Jesus Christ, the Light of the World.   Without Jesus, we remain blind and lost, searching for something to make us feel good, unaware that we slipping deeper into the abyss of darkness; that bottomless pit, called Hell.  Don’t be one of the many to deny or ignore the only Light that will save your eternal soul.  The little and temporary pleasure that this fallen world gives are not worth the price you will eventually pay for it.  And that price is the forfeit of your eternal life, forever separated from the Light of God’s glory.

                                      A Whisper of Hope
Be careful, My child…for the world is filled with deceit—lies from the Enemy that will suck you into the darkness before you know it.  Always live in the Light, looking through pure eyes.  The darkness that is consuming this world cannot exist in the Light of God where you are safe.

Romans 13:12
The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here.
So don’t live in darkness.  Get rid of your evil deeds.  Shed them
like dirty clothes.  Clothe yourselves with the armor of right living,
as those who live in the Light.  (NLT)

So be careful how you live,
not as fools but as those who are wise.

                             Honor and Respect
Malachi 1:6
The LORD Almighty says to the priests: “A son honors
his father, and a servant respects his master.  I am your
Father and Master, but where are the honor and respect
I deserve?  (NLT)

When we become a born again Christian, we become a new person, dedicating our lives to God and His purpose, much like a priest.  We become disciples of Jesus Christ—messengers of the Good News of Salvation through the death and resurrection of our Lord God and Savior. The message of forgiveness and eternal life is for everyone living on the face of this earth, and Jesus has given us the Great Commission to proclaim this Truth to the world.  But as disciples and holy priests, are we living a new life of repentance and devotion to the Lord?  Are our actions honoring and respecting our Mighty God and Savior?  Do our lives reflect the kind of fear and respect that God so rightly deserves?   Our Lord God not only created us and sustains us, but He also saves our precious souls from eternal condemnation.  As holy priests we must live righteous lives before God and the world, thanking and praising Him for His gracious provisions, especially His saving grace—the undeserved gift of salvation that saves us from eternal condemnation in Hell.
As a disciple you must stay connected to God, so you can know His will, stay repentant, and to be reenergized.  We owe God our very lives, because He chose not to give us what we deserve, rather He chose to give us what we don't deserve.   As Christians, we have a high and holy calling because we belong to God.  He gave it all so you could have it all. Christ Jesus was not forced to become a man of flesh and blood and sacrifice His life for a wicked world. He gladly volunteered to take the sins and punishment of the world.   The blood of Jesus is the only Way to forgiveness and eternal life. The Lord God is our Father, Provider, Healer, and our Source for eternal life.  The least we can do is give Him our life in return, honoring Him in our living, and respecting His authority with our obedience.

                                    A Whisper of Hope
Honor Me, child…and I will honor you in return.  Show Me respect and I will bless you richly.  Live to please Me and I will guide you safely through this difficult live until you reach Home.   You will fail Me from time to time, but I never forsake My children, nor will I ever stop loving you!

Revelation 1:5, 6
All praise to Him who loves us and has freed us
from our sins by shedding His blood for us.  He
has made us His Kingdom and His priests who
serve before God His Father.  (NLT)

And you must love the Lord your God
with all your heart, all your soul,

                            Promised Peace
Micah 4:3-4
The LORD will settle international disputes. All the nations
will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into
pruning hooks. All wars will stop, and military training will
come to an end. Everyone will live quietly in their own homes
in peace and prosperity, for there will be nothing to fear. The
LORD Almighty has promised this!  (NLT)

What an awesome change this will be for a world that has been at war with itself and its Creator from the very beginning of time. Mankind has been fighting and killing, cheating and stealing, slandering and suing one another since there were more than two of us.  But our Lord God and Savior put a plan in place to save us from the chaotic living that sin brings and bring His righteous rule back into our world where we will live together in peace and prosperity forever.  Although many people have dreamed and tried to create utopia in this fallen world, every attempt has failed miserably, and usually it made matters even worse.  But unlike the many failed attempts of utopia, we Christians know and can trust that Jesus, our King, will return to set up His perfect Kingdom on Earth.  Jesus, the King of the universe, is also our God and Savior, and only He has the power to end the evil in our world.
Upon His return, King Jesus will reign in this world for a thousand years and there will be no more killing or wars, no disease, no suffering or pain, and absolutely no injustice at all.  It will be a safe haven for every person, because Jesus will remove all unrighteousness before it can spread to others. And after His thousand-year reign, Satan, the fallen angels, and those who rejected Christ Jesus will be sent into the eternal Lake of Fire forever.  And our God will create everything new and perfect for those who are faithful and called by His Name.  God's promise of eternal life in a body that will not grow old or get sick makes this difficult life a whole lot easier to cope with.  Knowing you will live in a perfect world without sin and evil is like a perfect dream that will come true.  Utopia, as we understand it, is not even close to the incredible future that God has planned for His children.

                            A Whisper of Hope
It is true, dear child…that I have a glorious future planned for all those who are called by My Name.  I know it seems too good to be true, and maybe a little farfetched for your human mind to grasp, but nonetheless, it is true.  And one day, in the blink of an eye, it will become a reality for you!

Revelation 20:1-4
Then I saw an angel come down from Heaven with the key to
the bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand. He seized the
dragon—that old serpent, the devil, Satan—and bound him in
chains for a thousand years.  The angel threw him into the
bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could
not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were
finished.  Afterward he must be released for a little while.  (NLT)

Hallelujah!  For the Lord our God,
                           the Almighty, reigns.

                                    Dark Times
2 Timothy 4:3-4
For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to
right teaching.  They will follow their own desires and will
look for teachers who tell them whatever they want to hear.
They will reject the Truth and follow strange myths.  (NLT)

The time in which the apostle Paul is speaking about is here; it has been for quite some time. We live in a fallen world that is driven by the devil and creates its own truth in order to justify its love for wicked things. We live in a world whose god is Satan and its people are being led into a darkness so deep and so dark that for many there will be no escape and no turning back.  We live in a world driven by hate—a hate for our God and anything that is holy and righteous.  It's a world that depends on its lies to spread its hate and division—a world that worships sin so much that it embraces even the most perverted acts of evil and justifies them as being good—acts that are despicable and disgusting to God and those who are called by His Name.  In this world of immorality, anything goes as long as it feels good and makes you happy. This world has foolishly rejected its Creator and Savior, the Infinite Living God who created us with many of His triune attributes.  But sadly, most people deny the Living God and their connection with Him to worship worldly gods that satisfy their evil cravings.
But amidst all this evil and ungodliness that our world is embracing, there is One Hope for those who long for what the world cannot give them.  And that Hope is found in the Word of God, Christ Jesus; the Son who is shining the Light of Truth into this dark world.  He has lit the path for those who are desperately searching for a Way out of the evil darkness.  The time for God to complete His redemptive plan for man is getting closer with each passing day.  Jesus Christ saved us from eternal condemnation and death, but the devil has fooled many a scholar, and in return they have deceived the world.  But by putting your hope in the Cross of Jesus, my friend, you will defeat the grave and live forever in a place where evil cannot exist.

                                  A Whisper of Hope
It's time, dear child…to follow Me, the Living God, your Savior.  Only I can lead you safely out of the darkness of this evil world.  All others lead to Hell.  The world will tell you differently in a very convincing way, but I AM the only Way, the only Truth, and the only God—there is no Other!

1 John 5:19-20
We know that we are children of God and that the world around us
is under the power and control of the evil one. And we know that the
Son of God has come, and He has given us understanding so that we
can know the true God.  And now we are in God because we are in His
Son, Jesus Christ.  He is the only true God, and He is eternal life.  (NLT)

Fear only God, who can destroy both
                soul and body in Hell.

                                   Broken Chains
Psalm 107:14
He led them from the darkness
     and deepest gloom;
He snapped their chains.  (NLT)

It is only through the power of God’s saving grace that anyone can escape their bondage to sin and the darkness that is consuming our world. Only the resurrection power of our Lord God and Savior can break the chains that hold us captive to the life-destroying evil that infects our minds, hardens our hearts, and kills our souls—an evil that lurks in every dark corner of our lives waiting to sink its deadly fangs into our sinful flesh. The only Way to break the chains of bondage that Satan holds over his victims is by the nail scared hands of our Savior, Christ Jesus, whose death and resurrection has broken the heavy chains of sin and death. Once the chains are broken, and you are led into the light of the living God, you can live freely from the power of sin without fear for your life.  King Jesus is the Truth that sets you free. There is no victory without Jesus, my friend, it's simply not possible.
As prideful people, we can always fool ourselves and others by saying we can break our sinful appetites by hunkering down and not indulging in them. But without the sanctifying power of God the Holy Spirit, that evil power from hell will pull us back into its darkness and whisper what a failure we have been. The sinful hungers of our carnal flesh are strong and our fallen human wills are fickle, but the power of God will always trump the evil powers of darkness. For no matter, how deep the stain of your sins may be, the blood of Jesus can cleanse them all. Jesus is the Power and the Way, and He knows what it takes, because He has personally defeated the power of sin and death. He offers this same to you, but you must never give up and never lose faith. Even though the struggles are hard and the battle is tough, the victory over death is yours in Christ Jesus!

                                  A Whisper of Hope
Take My nail scared hand, dear child…and let Me lead you into the Light and away from the decay of this dark and evil world.  I Am your only Way out; your only Hope for living in My glorious Light forever.

Colossians 1:11-13
May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father, who has enabled
you to share the inheritance that belongs to God’s holy people, who live in
the light. For He has rescued us from the one who rules in the kingdom of
darkness, and He has brought us into the Kingdom of His dear Son.  (NLT)

So Christ has really set us free.
