                      “Above Meditation”
 Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble,
whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are
lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there
is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.  (NKJ)

Even born again Christians can find themselves trapped in all the business that this fast paced world demands of us, and are often distracted from the good will of God.  As imperfect people, we are basically self-focused and easily tempted, and we are bombarded everyday with temptations that are created by the devil and implemented by this wicked world.  Without the power of God, it's impossible for anyone to resist the power of sin.  So most people fall prey to sinful pleasures that seem good, but are really their death sentence.  People tend to believe the lies that this fallen world embraces as the truth, because this world is further away from God than it ever has been.  Instead of trusting in the Absolute Truth from our Creator (which we need), most people simply go with the flow, unaware of the danger it imposes.  Everything that is true and noble and just and pure and lovely and good and perfect come from God, because they are the very characteristics that radiate the glory of who He is.   His perfect and infinite truths never change nor will they ever cease to exist.
It's the Lord's godly characteristics and truths that He wants all people to know and develop, not only for their own wellbeing, but also for the world to see.  This sinful world is filled with ungodly people who follow their own lustful desires, who are led by Satan and they thrive on deceit and trickery, dirt and scandal, sexual immorality and perversion, murder and theft, shamelessness and boasting, violence and murder, and greed and self-seeking gain.   And because these things surround us on all sides, it never has been nor will it ever be easy to block out the world and meditate on the admirable things of God that are truly worthy.  Satan and his wicked world will do everything in their power to keep you away from God so they can devour your soul.   Only by the power of the Holy Spirit can you live in ways that honor God and glorify His Name.   God will give you the desire and wisdom to live and love like a child of the Living God when your meditation is above.

                                                 A Whisper of Hope
It is good, My child…that you focus on the Me, the Creator of life and all that is good.  If you are to live in peace with this world you must meditate on things from above, for when you do you will escape the decadence around you.  Meditate on My Word and resist the sinful pleasures that pull you away from Me.

James 3:17
But the wisdom that comes from Heaven is first of all pure.
It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others.
It is full of mercy and good deeds.  It shows no partiality and is always sincere.  (NLT)

Every word of God proves true.
He defends all who come to Him for protection.
                                 (Proverbs 30:5)
