                                 True Wisdom
Psalm 111:10
Reverence for the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom.
The rewards of wisdom come to all who obey Him.  (NLT)

     The word reverence can be translated as fear, which in both cases means that we should not only fear the LORD because of His sovereign power and authority over His creation, but we should also honor and respect Him in awe because He is our infinite Father. We would be wise to know and fear the consequences that sin brings into our lives, because hell is not a place that you want to spend eternity in. It is healthy for us to love, honor and respect the Lord God for sending the Holy Spirit into our lives to help guide us in righteous ways while living in this difficult world. He helps by giving us the strength to persevere in faith. Without the gracious wisdom that our Lord God and Savior, Jesus Christ, has shared with us, no one would escape the horrors of eternal hell.
     As God fearing people who belong to the Lord, we should begin each day with thanksgiving and renewed reverence for the LORD, because our moment to moment lives depend on His amazing grace.  We must read His Word daily and pay close attention to what God wants us to know. We must know who God is, why He created us, and what lies beyond this life.  Without God’s wisdom, we could not survive the onslaught of troubles that hit without warning.  The Lord tells us to focus on the eternal things of life, rather than just living for the moment. When you know God, you will fear and respect Him and when you put this short life into its  godly perspective, it will give you an everlasting peace that the world cannot give, nor take away.  Reverence for the One who created you, my friend, and accepting His authority over your life is wisdom at its eternal best.

                                             A Whisper of Hope
Fear is a good thing, My child…for it brings you understanding that will save your eternal life.  For fear and respect is the Way to have everlasting peace.  By fearing God's condemnation that sin brings, holds you accountable and prepares you for the wonderful joy to come.

Hebrews 12:28
Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable,
let us be thankful and please God by worshiping Him
with holy fear and awe.  For our God is a devouring fire.  (NLT)

      “The fear of the LORD is true wisdom;
         to forsake evil is real understanding.”
                            (Job 28:28)
