New Beginnings
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a
new creation; the old things have passed
away; behold, all things have become new. (NKJ)
What was found in this 2,000-year-old
message back then is the same message that we find today, a life-changing
transformation that occurs with receiving the undeserved, redemptive gift of
salvation from Christ Jesus, our Lord God and Savior. As believers in Christ, we share in His
promise of eternal life through the forgiveness of sins, and we are spared the
eternal condemnation sentence on Final Judgment Day. As Christians, we are clothed in the
righteousness of Christ and on the last day of this fallen world, we will be
transformed into the likeness of Jesus and live with our Holy God forever. What the physical birth of our Lord God and
Savior did, was it brought Divine Hope into a world lost in a dark sea of
evil. And with this divine Hope comes a
new beginning that will continue to get better with no end in sight.
When you accept the death and resurrection
of Messiah Jesus as your salvation, the old life dies on His Cross and you
become a new creation. Your sin record
cleared, your rebellion forgotten, and your new journey begins. The Holy Spirit opens your eyes to the
eternal truths you have never seen nor heard—truths that will change the way
you view life, death, and this world.
Once you were blind but now you can see.
You now discern what is real and what is not, what is right and what is
wrong, what is truth and what are lies.
And as your life is being transformed into a life that is acceptable and
pleasing to God, your world views, your values, your beliefs, and the temporal
things you had staked your life on will change. You will gain new insight with a new
perspective, for the old temporal things will no longer control the way you
live. Instead, your new eternal
perspective causes you to focus on the God of Glory—the One who created
you. Jesus came to give us all a new
beginning—one that is glorious—one that has no end!
A Whisper of Hope
The Father sent Me…to shepherd His people; to
gather up the lost and to bring them Home.
The world seeks to blind and steal all that you have in Me and then
destroy you completely. But I came to save
you, dear child, and to give you a new life that is eternal. You must trust Me in this, for when you
do—you are safe and secure.
2 Corinthians 5:18, 21
All this newness of life is from God, who brought
us back to Himself through what Christ did. (NLT)
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us,
that
we might become the righteousness of God in
Him. (NKJ)
For we are God’s masterpiece.
He has created us anew in Christ Jesus.
(Ephesians
2:10)
