“Soul Keeper”
Psalm 121:5, 7
The LORD is your keeper;
The LORD shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul. (NKJ)
In my life-journey with the Lord, it
became extremely reassuring and quite comforting knowing that the One who
suffered and died to save the life of my soul, was carefully watching over my
everyday life, especially with all the chaos and evil impacting the lives of
everyone in this chaotic world. Once I
began to develop a personal relationship with our gracious and loving God, it
enabled me to move forward in my life-journey of recovery without the usual
fear of failure. I knew that even though
I would experience some defeat and failure is my new life, I could rely on the
Lord to help me use my failures as an opportunity to grow in His grace and gain
confidence in His saving works.
This is how our incredible God works in
the lives of those who belong to Him. No
matter who we are or how spiritually mature we think we are, we all get discouraged and
disappointed by our mistakes and failures.
But when you know that the Lord God is always close and watching over
you, rather than throwing in the towel and condemning you, you will be able to
move forward knowing you have been forgiven.
We have a loving God, my friends, but even though He is gracious and
merciful and all forgiving, He allows us to fail, because it is by His
redeeming work of our failures and mistakes that His glory is proclaimed. For
when He pulls us out of the muck of our discouragement and sets our feet back
on solid ground, we know that our life
is safely in His hands and we will shine brightly in the Light of the Keeper of
our souls.
A Whisper of Hope
You
can sleep in Peace…My dear child, for I Am your Keeper who never
sleeps. My watchful eye is always open
and I see all that goes on. I Am always
aware and hear your every sigh. You are
never left alone in the battles for your soul, and as long as you have the One
who is your Strength and your Shield, you will find victory both now and
forevermore!
Psalm 33:18-22
Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear
Him,
on those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their
soul from death,
and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our
help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because
we have trusted
in His holy name.
Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us, just as we hope in You. (NKJ)
The LORD will
provide.
(Genesis 22:14)
