No More
Romans 8:23
And even we
Christians, although we have the Holy Spirit
within us as a
foretaste of future glory, also groan to be
released from
pain and suffering. We, too, wait
anxiously
for that day
when God will give us our full rights as His
children,
including the new bodies He has promised us.
(NLT)
No matter where people live
on this planet or what they believe in, everyone, both the good and the bad
experience the difficulties and hardships that living in a fallen world brings. No one is exempt from the suffering that is
as part of living as breathing is.
Everyone faces challenging obstacles that threatens their way of life,
their health, and often their very lives.
All human flesh is destined to die and decay. We are all susceptible to disease,
starvation, accidents, nature’s wrath, and are at risk of being
murdered—realities we must face every day of our very short lives. We are surrounded on all sides by the
decadence of this fallen world and it causes most people to live in fear, doubt,
and hopelessness, because they know it is inevitable that something bad will
eventually happen in their lives that will take what little happiness they may
have found while trying to survive in a world that wants their souls. The entire planet and all its living
creatures suffer from the effects of sin and the battles within—battles that
can destroy our hearts and minds, and rob the life from our souls.
When you are uncertain
about the Truth and what lies beyond this short life, it leaves you fearful,
unprepared, and living in vain. Trying
to survive in this fallen world where Satan reigns, and do it in a body that is
destined to die are real and very sobering realities that will remain the same
until the Day of the Lord’s glorious return.
But there is Hope amidst all
of the difficult realities of living in this broken world. And that Hope
is in the Good News of our Lord God
and Savior, Jesus Christ—the Hope of
knowing that no matter what kind of pain and suffering you are experiencing now
or will experience in the future, you have the eternal joy and peace that comes
when you are a child of the Living God.
As God’s redeemed child, you are never alone in any of your
tribulations, because God is always with you, helping you persevere with joy
during your afflictions, because you know that even if you die, you will
live. With the promises of God planted
firmly in your heart, my friend, you will survive even the worst that this
fallen world can do—and live through it forever!
A Whisper of Hope
This fallen
world…promises you nothing but shallow happiness, fleeting pleasure, and
fear of the unknown. But I, your Lord
God, promise you a new and better life now, and a perfect, eternal life when
this one comes to an end. It is certain
you will suffer in this life, but when you live in Me your suffering is short
and one day, will be no more!
Romans 8:21
All creation
anticipates the day when
it will join
God’s children in glorious
freedom from
death and decay. (NLT)
Yet what we suffer
now is nothing compared
to the glory He
will give us later.
(Romans 8:18)
