“Hearts of Hope”
Psalm 119:81-82
My soul faints for Your salvation,
But I hope in Your word. (NKJ)
As in the heart of the
psalmist who penned these words, so, too, do our hearts and souls long for God
to deliver us from this hard and difficult life. We long for that perfect peace and harmony
that can only be found in our Great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. We long for a life without pain and sickness
and even death—times of peace without wars and killing. We long to be set free from our doubts and
fears that keep us bound in the chains of sin, which takes away the true joy of
living. And just as God’s people,
Israel, cried out for God to save them, so, too, do many hopeless people cry
out in desperation and fear to be saved from the decadence that surrounds
them—crying out to be delivered from their days of darkness, pleading for help
and hoping there is a just God.
Our Lord God and Savior,
Jesus Christ saved us from the curse and the plunge into Hell. Jesus paid the full price for our forgiveness
and salvation ushering in His redemptive plan for man. We now have the New Testament in our hands
and the Holy Spirit in our hearts. And
we know that the Great Day of the Lord is drawing near, when the King of the
universe will put an end to evil and sin and create a new Heaven and earth
where we will live in peace and in fellowship with the Living God. Unlike the days of old, we now have a new
covenant and the clarity of God’s Plan in writing. We know that our Savior will soon return, and
that my friend is our hope. The hour is
rapidly approaching, and its time to prepare and share the Good News of
salvation, for the Lord wants no one left behind.
A
Whisper of Hope
There
is Hope, My child…your salvation has been purchased with My
blood. The price has been paid in full,
for I Am the Perfect Sacrificial Lamb who gave His life to save your soul. Now sleep in peace! For I AM near.
Romans
8:16
For His Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that
we are God’s children. And
since we are His children, we will share
His treasures—for everything God gives to His Son, Christ, is ours,
too. (NLT)
Your faith and hope
can be placed confidently in God.
(1 Peter 1:21)
