                                 “Holy God”
 Isaiah 57:15
The high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, the Holy One, says this:
“I live in that high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite
and humble.  I refresh the humble and give new courage to those with
repentant hearts.”  (NLT)

Our Holy God is always faithful to His children.  He is the only Father that keeps His every promise.  He faithfully watches over His children because He wants to keep them safe from this dark and wicked world that wants only to destroy what belongs to God.  And  for those of us who have surrendered our lives to the Lord, we belong to Him.  When He was murdered and punished for our sins, He defeated the sting of sin and broke its power over us.  And when our Savior was resurrected from the grave and ascended back into Heaven, He not only defeated eternal death for us, but He also sent the Holy Spirit to help expose the lies of the world and to help us fight against the enemies of God.  We have a powerful Savior, my friends, a gracious and loving God who comforts us when we fail, gives us courage when we are afraid, and strengthens us to fight the everyday battles for our hearts and minds.
It takes a deep desire and a sincere commitment to follow God.  It takes a humble and contrite heart to live a holy life.  The change from sinfulness to godliness is not an easy one to make, because we enjoy our sin and it's hard to give it up.  Changing the way you think and act from a fallen world view to a Christian world view is indeed a difficult road to travel, because the wicked ways that consume this world are a powerful force to be reckoned with, and one that is difficult to sever.  But with the resurrection power of God, the victory over sin and death is for anyone who will humble themselves before the Lord and crucify their old life of sin on His Cross!

                                               A Whisper of Hope
Hold on to Me…dear child, because I never fail, and I will never forsake you or let you go.  I will give you rest and refresh you, for I know first hand the weariness that this life-journey brings.  Take My hand and I will walk you safely Home where you belong.

Deuteronomy 7:9
“Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God,
the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a
thousand generations with those who love Him and
keep His commandments.”  (NKJ)

God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
                                              (Psalm 46:1)
