A Day of Reckoning

Mark 12:13

The leaders sent some Pharisees and supporters

of Herod to try to trap Jesus into saying something

for which He could be arrested.  (NLT)

     Even in today's world, Satan is at work trying to destroy God's creation, the name of Jesus Christ, the truth of God's Word, and the lives of Christian people who follow God's Way. Satan and this evil world are trying their best to silence the Voice of God and the Good News.  Unbeknownst to most, much of this work is being done behind the scenes and in the spiritual realm where evil principalities are attacking the hearts and minds of people who are simply trying to survive so they can have a good time. The evil in this world leaves no one untouched. And this evil rules all of the governments of our world, and in many of these countries Christians are being mowed down and persecuted because of their faith in Jesus.  There is no place in our world where Christians are not being attacked, and there is a day coming when the entire world will be subdued and ruled by one evil ruler; the puppet of Satan that the Lord calls the Antichrist.  He will be everything that Christ is not and his reign of terror will bring down the wrath of God upon this world.

     This wicked world denies the Truth of God, which the Lord has so graciously shared with us.  But Christians everywhere know the Truth and they know God's perfect justice will prevail.  Although it is a terrifying thought knowing the destruction that will be rained down upon the earth, Christians have nothing to fear from this world.  When you are living in Christ Jesus, He is living in you and He is your Shield and Refuge from God's wrath.  And while you live and breathe in this world, you have His peace to comfort you, His Promise to strengthen you, and the courage to spread the Good News with those who live in darkness and fear.

When the Lord opened my eyes to the truth about this crazy world and those who make it crazy, it put an urgency in my heart to get the word out—that what we see is only a taste of what is to come for this world that denies its Savior.  And the only way out of the mess is found in Christ Jesus, for He is the only One who can eradicate the world of evil.

2 Peter 3:10

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night,

in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise,

and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the

earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.  (NKJ)

                                       A Still Small Voice

Know the Truth, dear child, for everything around you is going to be destroyed, so you should live a holy and godly life.  Don't be caught off guard in a drunken stupor of sin, for I will come like a thief in the night to take My Church away and unleash My anger upon this evil world.
