Saving Grace
Isaiah 12:2
“Behold, God
is my salvation, I will trust
and not be
afraid; for the LORD GOD is
my strength
and song. And He has become
my
salvation.” (NASB)
God
revealed the coming Messiah to the prophet Isaiah to not only encourage the
people of Israel, but unbeknownst to Him, to also encourage all peoples of the
world throughout all the ages. Jesus is
and always will be the only Hope we have for escaping the consequences of sin
that this decaying world poisons our hearts and minds with. God sent His Son to
destroy the evil power that enslaves us to sin and death. It is through Christ Jesus that we find truth
and purpose to this life, and what lies ahead for us in the future. Our Lord
God and Savior, Jesus Christ, voluntarily shed His blood upon the earth and
died nailed to a wooden cross so the people of this world, who are all cursed
with sin, could be saved from the wrath of God that is justly due to
everyone.
There
is another sacrifice that is needed, my friends; the putting to death our old
life of sin to be born again a new creation in Christ. When you are living anew in Christ Jesus, you
are surrendering to His care and control so He can replace it with a life that
is truly worth living. When you believe and accept the atonement for your sins
that Jesus paid for with His blood, you will be overwhelmed with His amazing
mercy and grace when you are shown how undeserving you really are. Sinless Jesus took the sins of the whole
world so we could stand holy and blameless in His Holy Presence. Those who
belong to Jesus, no longer have to live in fear of death or what tomorrow will
bring, because we have eternal life no matter what happens in this fallen
world. We also have the promised Helper, the Holy Spirit, to comfort us when
needed, to teach us God's Ways, and to empower us with His mighty strength to overcome
this world. Our Lord God becomes
our strength in weakness so we can walk
fearlessly while we share the Good News of salvation with those who are
desperate for some blessed hope in a world that has little hope and it is
decaying right before our eyes.
A
Whisper of Hope
Trust Me, dear
child…walk in faith believing I AM who I say I AM, for when you live your
life-journey believing in Me, you will have everything you need. Don’t put your trust and hope in this fallen
world ruled by Satan, for it will only bring you down. Look to Me for the Way and the Truth, and I
will set you free from your bondage to sin and protect you until I bring you
Home!
Titus 2:11-13
For the grace
of God has been revealed, bring salvation to all men. And we
are instructed
to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should
live in this
evil world with self-control, right conduct, and devotion to God,
while we look
forward to that wonderful event when the glory of our great
God and
Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.
(NLT)
Let Your unfailing love surround us,
LORD,
for our hope
is in You alone.
(Psalm 33:22)
