Soul Keeper

Psalm 121:5, 7

The LORD is your Keeper.  The LORD shall preserve

you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.  (NKJ)

     What comfort and peace these words from God can bring to any believing, weary soul who is struggling to survive in a world of incredible turmoil and daily uncertainty.  It's not rare that we spend many sleepless nights fearing what the next day or week or month may bring as we fearfully watch the world around us fall apart.  There are so many lost and terrified souls who are uncertain about the direction the world is headed in, because they either deny Christ or don't know the Truth.  When people put their hope and trust in this fallen world there is really no hope at all, for any sane person can see that the world is going nowhere but down.  I know from my own past that when I put my hope and trust in the things of this world, I was mostly unhappy, feeling awfully empty, and always searching for something that made sense.  When you stand back and take a hard look at how dysfunctional people have become and how deceit is governing the nations, the obvious outcome tends to look rather bleak.  

     But thanks be to the God of our salvation, who has, for thousands of years, been saving weary and defeated souls who have chosen to put their hope and trust in the Word of Life, Christ Jesus; the One who has defeated the sin and death of this this dying world.  Our Hope is in the Lord, who will one day return with His army of angels and His faithful followers from all ages to make things right.  God's plan of redemption has given His children the strength and wisdom to overcome the fear and doubt that consumes so many—fears that can easily push one’s life into the hopelessness of dark defeat.  Our only hope is found in the knowing the Lord our God and Savior, Christ Jesus,  for He has saved the world.  When your weary soul has its true and faithful Keeper, you will have found the Light that brings you Hope in the Truth!

                                    A Whisper of Hope

I Am your Keeper…I vow to keep you safe from the evil one that rules this world.  I protect you day and night so that you can walk and sleep in peace.  Trust Me, My child, to be your Soul Keeper, and go forth in confidence to spread your hope and peace in Me wherever you go.  For there are many whose souls are kept in darkness by the soul killer named Satan.

Matthew 16:25-26

If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. 

But if you give up your life for Me, you will find true life. 

And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but

lose your own soul in the process?  Is anything worth

more than your soul?  (NLT)

   And now we are in God because we are in His Son, 

          Jesus Christ. His is the only true God, 

                      and He is eternal life.
