In God We Hope
Psalm 146:5
Happy are
those who have the God
of Israel for their
Helper, whose
hope is in
the LORD their God. (NLT)
By not
trusting the Lord and putting our hope in Christ Jesus for this life and the
one to follow is not only foolish, but dangerous as well. When we trust other flawed human beings,
there is a false sense of security that usually leads to disappointment,
discouragement, and a broken heart, which weakens our spirits and leaves us
vulnerable to the Enemy of our souls.
And when we put our trust and hope in the ways of this fallen world, we
are putting our hope in a dying world that is not only unstable and
unpredictable, but has the devil as its god; the destroyer and hater of
anything and everything that is God’s.
Your best hope, my friend, is your only Hope—the living God and Savior,
Christ Jesus. When we trust and put our
hope in the infinite living God, we find the rest that our weary souls so
desperately need because of this fallen world and its evil ruler.
Our
loving and compassionate God has graciously given us the Word of Life so we
would know what lies ahead in the future as both a warning and for
encouragement. When you have the Helper,
Healer, Provider, Prophet, Redeemer and Savior, you basically have everything
you will ever need and so much more.
When you are living for the Lord and believing in His plan for man, you
want to share this phenomenal Good News
with those who either rely on the false hope of this dying world, or have
absolutely no hope at all. When the
Savior who defeated sin and death for you is your only God, the hope of Jesus
will give you a peace unlike anything the world can offer or deliver. When you have the peace of God, you can
fearlessly live each day with the King of the universe, Jesus Christ, for He
has great plans for all those who belong to Him and confess Him as LORD over
all.
A
Whisper of Hope
Call on Me,
dear child…for there is nothing I cannot do.
I have all the knowledge you need to live a good life that honors
Me. When I AM your Helper, you need
never fear what tomorrow may bring, for I AM God and I AM with you always. There is none greater than I AM.
Revelation 1:8
“I am the
Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,”
says the Lord God. “I am the One who is, who always was,
and who is
still to come, the Almighty One.” (NLT)
Happy
indeed are those whose God is the LORD.
(Psalm 144:15)
