Pure Eyes                            

Titus 1:15

Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure.  But

nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving

because their minds and consciences are defiled.  (NLT)

     This wicked world begins brainwashing us as soon as we open our eyes and can see the world around us.  And we remain this way until the Lord intervenes and opens our eyes to the Truth.  It is the god of this world, Satan, who is behind all of the evil lies that are turning people away from the Truth of God, which is leading them into a godless lifestyle that opposes everything that is good and pleasing to God. The devil is the most powerful and dangerous Enemy God has, and he despises the very name of Jesus and everything that is associated with His Kingship. The devil is so clever that most people are not even aware that they are living a life of sin, because if the world says it's okay, then it's okay. There is nothing pure or good about this evil world that is leading people so far away from the Truth, that many of them won't learn about their eternal death and destruction until it is too late for them to change their minds.

     My dear friends, everything that is pure and holy comes from our God in Heaven.  And when we accept the death and resurrection of Jesus as our hope and salvation, we are inviting Him to live in our hearts, so that we, too, become pure and holy as we slip into His robe of righteousness.  And with this new Hope, He will open our pure and hopeful eyes so we can see clearly the corruption that is destroying lives and killing souls.  And we can then, help others who are being deceived by the deadly lies of this evil world.  Let God's Truth cleanse your mind and soften your heart so you can see purely the road ahead.

Let Me give you a clean heart, My child...One that is soft and pure.  This evil world hardens hearts, poisons minds, and defiles lives.  But I can change all that and give you a pure heart that loves Me and others—a heart of compassion, mercy, and grace—much like Mine.

2 Timothy 2:22

Run from anything that stimulates youthful lust.  Follow anything that

makes you want to do right.  Pursue faith and love and peace, and enjoy

the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.  (NLT)
