Discover Joy
Psalm 16:11
You
will show me the way of life,
granting me the joy of
your
presence and the pleasures
of living with you forever. (NLT)
It is
the eternal hope and peace, which our Lord promises, that we are able to fully
trust our amazing Creator and Savior to guide and provide our lives with true
purpose and the moral values that brings us joy in the Lord while living in a
dark world filled with pain—a world that takes pleasure in robbing us of our
joy. Without a personal relationship
with our Lord God and Savior and without His direction, the purpose of life
always falls short of the goodness that God intended, and this life ends up
quite futile. For if this short life is
it, how could we ever find the peace and joy that our hearts truly long
for? What on earth would make this
difficult life truly worth living? Is it
worth all the pain and disappointment and discouragement, just to die and that’s
it?
Without
the Hope that Jesus died for, this life would be nothing but a struggle to
survive with a lot of sorrow and pain, discouragement, dead ends,
dissatisfaction, confusion, uncertainty, doubt, fear, disappointment, a moment
or two of gladness, many days of unhappiness, regrets of days gone past, living
with unbearable guilt and shame, and finally dying in the darkness and only God
knows what else. Not a pretty picture, nor one to be excited about. Without God directing your life-journey there
is absolutely no logical rhyme nor reason for living in this world. Without the Light of the World to brighten
this dark and difficult life there would be no hope for anyone at any
time. Without the our Savior, Light of
the world, Jesus Christ, there would be absolute darkness and chaos. Your life is no accident, my friend, God
created you for a reason—a good and honorable reason, not to make you unhappy
and confused, and certainly not to let you suffer and just die. That is the devil’s plan for you, not God’s.
A
Whisper of Hope
Let
Me bless you, My child…with the peace and joy that only comes through
knowing Me. Open your heart to receive
all that I have for you. Do not focus on
just the temporary joy that this fallen world offers, for it will leave you
emptier than before and wanting even more.
Rather, look beyond this world and find a life worth living in Me.
Isaiah
49:13
Sing for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth!
Burst in song, O mountains! For the Lord
has comforted His people and will have
compassion on them in their sorrow. (NLT)
Do not sorrow, for the
joy of the LORD is your strength.
(Nehemiah
8:10)
