                          No More Shame
Psalm 32:5
Finally, I confessed all my sins
               to You and stopped
     trying to hide them.
I said to myself, “I will confess
                my rebellion to the LORD.”
And You forgave me! All my guilt is gone.  (NLT)

There are many people who are loaded down with enough guilt and shame that it would easily bring down an elephant to its knees.  There was a time in my life when I understood very little about the nature of sin nor did I realize its negative effect on our character and the dire consequences it has on our lives.  Although God built into the fibers of our beings the moral differences between right and wrong, we are nonetheless, natural born sinners who cannot control nor overcome our sinful behavior on our own. And because of our weakness to refrain from sin, many people succumb to the battle and medicate the pain of their failures with more sin. There are still others who take pleasure in their sinful rebellion, defying the authority of God and are proud about it.  And so it continues; the stumbling about in the darkness of ignorance or the blatant pleasure of it.  Either way, the consequences are never good.
What an amazing miracle it is that we have a Savior who left the glory of Heaven to touch us in such an unconditional and forgiving way that your guilt and shame and bondage to sin can be removed forever so we can live this life with purpose and joy.  Because of the blood of Christ Jesus our sins are forgiven and the guilt and shame of our past is nailed to the Cross of Christ.  God has given His Word and His Spirit to help you heal from your dark past of wicked deeds so you can start a relationship with the Lord God who created you and saved you.

                                     A Whisper of Hope
Be not afraid, my child…for there is nothing that you have done or said that I don’t already know.   Be not anxious or worried when you come to Me, for I Am a forgiving God, One whose nature is to forgive and save that which is lost.  Let Me fill you with My life saving power so I can heal your wounded heart and give you hope—hope that will set you free from the bondage of sin so you can live with a peace and joy within!

1 John 1:8-9
If we say we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves
and not living in the truth.  But if we confess our sins
to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all wickedness.  (NLT)

Oh, what joy for those whose rebellion is forgiven.
                                               (Psalm 32:1)
