                          Victory Is Yours
1 Peter 2:11
Dear brothers and sisters, you are foreigners
and aliens here.  So I warn you to keep away from
evil desires because they fight against your very souls.  (NLT)

Since the fall of mankind, people have struggled to survive against the evil forces of this world that continue to attack us in our most vulnerable weaknesses.  For most people every day is a battle for both our physical and mental lives, as well as our spiritual lives.  From the dawn of time this sin filled world has bombarded us day in and day out with many pleasures of the flesh that cause us to sin, and the only break we seem to get is when we sleep, but even then, our dreams may be filled with the desires of the world that leave us craving for more.  This fallen world has always tried to lull us into believing that because this life is so short and the only life we have, it’s all about consuming the pleasures that can make us happy and feel good, for they can help us escape the chaos around us.  But the truth is, my friends, no matter what we indulge in, the chaos remains and the hungers return.
Knowing the absolute Truth about this life and seeking the Living God, Jesus Christ, is the only way  we will ever find the peace that helps us persevere the terrible chaos that will, one day, end in victory for all those who put their hope and trust in the Lord their God.  Until that day, we must prepare ourselves by living in God’s Light, learning the absolute Truth, and trusting in our Savior to help us fight the good fight.  We need to be strong and live our lives in confidence, knowing that even though we will lose a battle or two along the way, when it’s all said and done we will stand in victory with the Lord our God!

                   A Whisper of Hope
Come into My Presence, child…do not believe the lies of the Enemy.   Instead, focus your thoughts on Me—your Wisdom and Strength.  Let Me direct your paths so you won’t be led astray.  Focus not on the pleasures of this world, but on my Presence; then each day you will be able to face the temptations with victory.

Ephesians 6:12-17
For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood,
but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world,
against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world,
and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms. Use every
piece of God’s armor to resist the enemy in the time of evil, so
that after the battle you will still be standing firm.  (NLT)

But thanks be to God, who gives us
victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
                                    (1 Corinthians 15:57)
