Trusting Jesus
Psalm 146:7, 8
The
LORD frees the prisoners.
The
LORD opens the eyes of
the blind.
The
LORD lifts the burdens of
those bent beneath their loads. (NLT)
Only God can set us
free from the power of sin, restore our broken lives, and transform us into the
likeness of His Son. But in order for
this to happen, we must humbly live our lives in repentance, accept His
forgiveness, and believe He is the Sovereign God who keeps His every promise. There
is always hope when we trust the Lord with our lives, for He is all powerful and
all knowing. He provides all that we need and protects us from being destroyed
by the Enemy of our souls. The Lord loves us even when we don't love Him and He
is always faithful even when we are not. His abiding love is unconditional and
He is over flowing with amazing grace and mercy.
Why
not step out of your comfort zone and let the Savior of the world take you on
an eternal life-journey unlike anything the world can offer you. Who better to
trust than the One True God who always has been and always will be—the One who
created us? Our Creator knows everyone completely and far better than we know
ourselves. Most of us have made a real mess out of our lives by trusting this
fallen world and relying on our own limited abilities to find truth and purpose
to this life. When we learn about the incredible attributes of God and His
absolute truths about life and death, the best option we have is trusting in
our Creator—the One who saved us from eternal condemnation by hanging naked,
nailed to a wooden cross. You can fully
trust in your Lord God and Savior, Jesus Christ, because He is the Way and the
Truth to eternal life.
A
Whisper of Hope
Learn
to say…“I trust in You Jesus” whenever you find yourself
in dire need. Take a moment of time to
ponder the awesome power I have and know the depth and the breadth of My Love
for you. This simple practice will help
you in every situation. By acknowledging
My sovereignty, you will view your circumstances in a new light. By trusting Me, your fear and uncertainty loses
its grip on you.
Isaiah 58:11
The
LORD will guide you continually, watering your life
when
you are dry…You will be like a well-watered garden,
like
an ever-flowing spring. (NLT)
Therefore, if the Son makes you free,
you
shall be free indeed.
(John 8:36)
