“Best Way”

 Hosea 14:8

“Stay away from idols!  I am the One who looks after

you and cares for you.  I am like a tree that is always

green, giving My fruit to you all through the year.”  (NLT)

     Anything that takes the place of God in your heart will leave you incomplete, unsatisfied, and longing for more.  When you trust this world to give you the desires of your heart rather than your Creator, you are  foolish, short-sighted, and one day you will regret it. Only our infinite Lord God knows what is best for us.   We all desperately need the Living God, because we are finitely mortal, weak in stature, and inherently flawed with sin, self-pride, and death.  We tend to blindly follow our sinful nature to satisfy the desires of our flesh, because we are either ignorant in the ways of God or we don't care what lies beyond this short life.  But in due time and unbeknownst to those who live apart from God, this world and all the things they idolize will eventually let them down and bring them down.  The ways of this fallen world are all directed by the Devil and his evil counterparts, and when combined with our sinful desires becomes a deadly trap for sure.  This evil world has hardened many hearts and caused much havoc in the lives of ordinary people who were just searching for happiness and something that would fill the emptiness and give them peace.

     God created each of us with an emptiness that only He can fill.  God created us with desires that only He can satisfy.  But since the Devil introduced evil and rebellion into our world, it is the sin within that causes us to lust for things rather than God—evil things that pull us away from God.  And without God's Truth we are gullible and easily fooled, and will blindly follow our sinful nature into the grave.  Even when we know God but fail to follow His righteous ways, our hearts harden so hard that our lives become nothing more than a mockery of the authority of God, and that my friends, is not a very good place to be.   The Best Way is also the only Way to Heaven and it is found in Christ Jesus.

                                           A Whisper of Hope 

I Am not only the Best Way, dear child...I Am the only Way Home.   All others are false in their premise.  It was I who put eternity in your heart.  It was I who wove the longings for God into your very being.  Only I can fill the emptiness that yearns to be filled.  Let Me fill you completely.

Matthew 6:31-33

So don't worry about having enough food or drink or clothing.  Why be

like the pagans who are so deeply concerned about these things?  Your

Heavenly Father already knows all your needs, and He will give you all

you need from day to day if you live for Him and make the Kingdom of

God your primary concern.  (NLT)

                        There is no one like the God of Israel.
