                           “God Safe”
Psalm 73:26-27
My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
But God remains the strength of my heart; He is
mine forever. But those who desert Him will perish,
for You destroy those who abandon You.  (NLT)

Our wise God created the universe in such a way that it and everything in it would always need Him to exist.  By the power of His Word, He keeps it in a well-defined order instead of a great big, gigantic mass of absolute chaos without purpose.  So, we can reason that mankind must also depend on God to provide all our needs and protect us in order to sustain our lives.  He also teaches us how to live in ways that are good for us and glorifies Him; ways that are righteous, eternal, and God directed.  But what we need the most is His forgiveness, the gift of salvation, and the power to help us live godly lives in an ungodly world.  Sadly, most people choose to ignore God to follow their own ways that are flawed by sin and wreaks with the wickedness that leads to a life filled with a lot of chaos, doubt, and fear—lives that are filled with pain, heartache, and feeling hopelessly lost in the dark with nowhere to go.   Since the falling away of mankind from God we foolishly created our own gods (with the help of Satan) that we could turn to that will justify our sins and appease our carnal flesh, instead of relying on the living God who can forgive us and holds our eternal destiny in His hands.
There have been many worldly driven people who have prospered greatly in this life, but missed out on the joy of knowing the Lord.  There will always be those who deny God and don't look beyond this life.  They spend this short life grabbing all they can while they can, having no concern for the consequences that they deny exists.  But the Lord tells us that no matter how powerful or rich or successful a person becomes in this life they will lose it all on that inevitable day when they breathe their last and final breath.  And when they regain conscienceless, will find themselves trapped in a dark pit in Hell awaiting their final judgment, only to be thrown into the Lake of Fire that burns forever.  But for those who honor their Creator and Savior and accept His saving grace, they too, will lose their earthly stuff, but will gain an eternal life in the glory of Heaven with not only riches beyond our imagination, but the awesome reward of living with our Great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

                                    A Whisper of Hope

Depend on Me, dear child…not on the manmade gods of this immoral world, because they cannot promise you anything but temporary pleasures and eternal darkness.  These manmade gods will expose you to the harsh realities that come with living apart from your Provider.  Don’t be duped by the lies of the Enemy, for if you do, I will also abandon you!

Colossians 1:16-17
Christ is the One through whom God created everything in heaven and earth.
He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—kings, kingdoms,
rulers, and authorities.  Everything has been created through Him and for Him.
He existed before everything else began, and He holds all creation together.  (NLT)

There is a way which seems right to a man,
but its end is the way of death.
                                  (Proverbs 14:12)
