“The Road Home”
Ephesians 2:4
But God is so
rich in mercy, and He loved us so very much,
that even
while we were dead because of our sins, He gave
us life when
He raised Christ from the dead. (NLT)
When people take God out of
the equation of life they are embracing Satan, the mighty prince of this wicked
world. And his evil forces are hard at
work deceiving people who then refuse the love, holiness, and authority of our
Holy God and Creator. The Lord did not
create us to die, but to live. God did
not save us from death because He had to.
God saved us because He is a gracious and merciful God who knew we could
never save ourselves from the just punishment that sin brings. The Lord knows and sees all things and He is
perfect in everything He does. God’s
love is something we cannot fully understand this side of Heaven, but we know
that God is Love in the purest form because He tells us so, and He cannot
lie. Mercy and grace and love are His
very nature and He watches over His entire creation like a hawk, directing our
paths so that we might find our way Home.
There are many worldly
paths to choose from, but they all lead to eternal death, because we were not
made to travel through this life-journey apart from God. Our Lord God and Savior came to this earth
because we could not come to Him. He
came to be the Final Sacrificial Lamb of God.
Jesus sacrificed His life for the sins of the world and received the just
punishment that was due. You have been
cleansed by the blood of Jesus, your sins have been forgiven and forgotten, and
you are now righteous and holy in the eyes of God if you so desire. It doesn't matter who you are or what you
have done, Jesus can give you a new life now and raise you to an eternal life
when this one ends, for He is after all, the God of creation.
A Whisper of Hope
The paths of
this world...lead into the darkness of the abyss.
But the path I paved for you will take you Home where I made you to live
forever. Many paths of this world seem
pleasing and right, but they will deceive you into a slumber that is both
dangerous and difficult to wake up from.
2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who
said, “Let there be light in the darkness,
has made us
understand that this Light is the brightness
of the glory of
God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.
(NLT)
Awake, O sleeper,
rise up from the dead,
and Christ will give you light.
(Ephesians 5:14)
