“For the Love of
God”
Psalm 91:14-15
The LORD says,
“I will rescue those who love Me. I will
protect those
who trust in
My Name. When they call on Me, I will
answer; I will be
with them in
trouble. I will rescue them and honor
them.” (NLT)
Even though the Almighty
God commands us to love Him above all else and to obey His Law, He does not
force us to. But because He created man
with a free will, we do not always love and obey Him as we should, instead, we
tend to love ourselves more and do whatever we feel like doing. It is only by knowing who God is and who we
are not, that we grow to love, honor and obey Him. It is crucial that we personally know the
Lord God if we are to learn what He expects and why we need to obey and follow
His Way. I have learned (often the hard
way) that whether we love and obey God or not, He loves us. God's love is not dependent on what we do or
don’t do, say or don’t say, and even when we are unfaithful to Him time and
time again, He remains faithful to us.
God’s Holy character never changes.
Though we make Him unhappy and angry at times, He knows and understands
our fallen nature, yet He loves us in spite of that dilemma. We can cause Him great joy, but that doesn't
make Him love us any more than He already does.
We can mess up big time and sadden His heart deeply, but that doesn't
cause Him to love us any less.
The Almighty God loves you,
my friend, just has you are, broken, sinful, and hard headed. Most people don't want to know God or His
Way, because it would ruin their fun.
But the children of God want to know their Creator and choose to follow
Him rather than this wicked world, and so He gives them the power and wisdom to
overcome the ways of this fallen world that are forged in darkness. The devil
wants you to believe that God is too high up to care, too angry to love, and
too strict to obey. But the Living God
is love and proved it by coming to us so He could shed His blood upon the earth
to cleanse our sins. Jesus Christ is our
Saving God, Protector, and Sovereign King.
His love never ceases no matter how far you may have strayed from
Him. God knows you are sin flawed and in
need of His mercy and grace, so He has provided a second chance for you to slip
on His robe of righteousness that hides your sin condition. Embrace His love. Embrace your Savior!
A
Whisper of Hope
My love for
you, dear child…does not depend on you. Your
life will always be filled with mistakes and regrets, with doubts and fear, and
with failure after failure, but I will always love you perfectly.
Romans 8:38-39
And I am
convinced that nothing can ever separate us
from His
love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels can’t,
and the demons
can’t. Our fears for today, our worries
about
tomorrow, and
even the powers of Hell can’t keep God’s love away. (NLT)
As we live in God,
our love grows more perfect.
