                        “Heart Matters”
 Proverbs 27:19
As a face is reflected in water,
so the heart reflects the person.  (NLT)

As fallen human beings living in a fallen world, we are all prone to follow our fallen nature to sin.  We either do it without thinking about it or we consciously sin denying its consequences, but either way, we love the sin and will devise a way to indulge in it.  The down side to our indulging is that we will eventually pay the eternal price for our indulgence without God’s forgiveness and our repentance.  It's because of our rebellious nature against the holiness of God that we develop a deceitful heart.  We must, therefore, be ever so mindful of the desires of our heart, for it is from the heart that our desires for living begins—be it for God or against God.  So, if we desire to change the direction that this sin loving world is leading us, we must first and foremost, look deeply into the condition of our heart.  Because it is only through God’s infinite power and wisdom and saving grace that we are able to experience a truly transformed heart and new life—one that loves God and all people.
No matter who you are or how strong you think you may be, you cannot fight the dark forces of evil on your own, because the power of sin over your heart and mind, is far too strong for your human condition to  combat without the sovereign power of Christ Jesus.   Satan reigns in this fallen world that can only satisfy the wicked desires your heart; desires that are borne out of our sinful lusts for pleasure; desires that will draw you away from God and leave you in a darkness that never ends.  Don’t be one of the many who experience the final condemnation and eternal separation from God, for it will not be a pleasant ending to an already difficult life that you did not ask for.   This is why our gracious God continues to reach out for every heart; not forcing His will on anyone, but giving everyone the precious time to change.  So take it to heart my friends, and do not gamble with the LORD our God.  Instead, step up while you still can, and trust Him to transform the sinful desires of your heart into godly desires that will drive you into the very arms of the Living God Himself.

                                     A Whisper of Hope
Ask, dear child…and I will give you a new heart—one that desires Me and all the goodness I offer.  This world hates Me and all that is righteous.  It will destroy your heart and lead you straight into Hell before you know it.  So be ever so mindful to guard your heart, because it is from the heart that will determine your eternal destiny.

Ezekiel 36:26-27
And I will give you a new heart with new and right desires, and I will
put a new spirit in you.  I will take out your stony heart of sin and give
you a new, obedient heart.  And I will put My Spirit in you so you will
obey my laws and do whatever I command.  (NLT)

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
                               (Matthew 5:8)
