“Lips for God”
Colossians 1:13-14
For He has
rescued us from the one who rules in the
kingdom of darkness,
and He has brought us into the
Kingdom of His
dear Son. God has purchased our free-
dom with His
blood and has forgiven all our sins.
(NLT)
No one who has sincerely
accepted God’s gift of salvation should ever let this incredible, life-saving
truth be silenced from their lips.
Without the mercy and grace of our Lord God, where would we look for the
everlasting peace and joy that comes from knowing the eternal plans that God has
for His children? For the many people
living in this dying world without the Wisdom and Hope of God directing their
lives, there is a lot of uncertainty, confusion, and often times great fear
about the future. People who do not know
the Truth are often scared to death of dying because they are not sure of what
lies beyond the grave, if anything.
Sadly, there are many deceived people who put most of their hope in
denying the realities of Hell, believing that an all loving God could not hold
anyone accountable for just enjoying life and ignoring His Son and the Way—that
everyone goes to Heaven except mass murderers.
There are also those who believe that we simply cease to exist.
This is why every true
Christian must be steadfast in their faith that the living God of the Bible is
who He says He is and will do what He says He will do. Without a firm hold on the hope we have in
Christ Jesus, our faith will waver up and down, causing us to look weak and
uncertain in the eyes of the unbeliever who is desperately searching for truth
and finding none. Weak Christians are a
weak Church, which Satan uses to deceive a world that is chaotic and already
confused. If you are a true Christian,
you will stay grounded in God’s Word learning how to live and love like Jesus,
and you will be spreading the Good News that Jesus can save anyone from the
fate of this fallen world. Don’t let
this evil world convince you otherwise, my friend, because God wants us to be a
shining light on a hill for the world to see.
We are to be a voice for God and He calls us to give Him our best lip
service and never forget that our words can bring life through Christ, or they
can bring death through weakness and doubt.
A
Whisper of Hope
I have given
you much, My child…I have given you Hope in a world gone bad. I have given you My life and the Way to
escape the darkness that is coming. I
have given you My blood. I have given
you My forgiveness. I have given you the
Gift of Eternal Life. Now go out and share this Good News with others, for it
is with your lips that My message is known.
Psalm 30:11, 12
You have
turned my mourning into joyful dancing.
You have taken
away my clothes of mourning and
clothed me
with joy, that I might sing praises to you
and not be
silent. (NLT)
It
is I, the LORD, who is mighty to save!
(Isaiah 63:1)
