“God and
Friends”
Psalm 25:14
Friendship
with the LORD is reserved for those
who fear Him. With
them He shares the secrets
of His
covenant. (NLT)
Much
like it is with good friends who walk together sharing their secrets, so it is
with Christ Jesus and those who call Him Lord.
Because our Lord God and Savior sacrificed His life on the cross we can
now be in the Holy Presence of God, sharing our deepest secrets and learning
His. When you humbly go to the foot of
the cross and fully accept the gift of forgiveness and salvation, the Holy
Spirit begins to reveal the secrets of God concerning life and death and
everything in between. In the old
covenant between God and His people Israel, the dwelling place of God was in a
tent and was called the Most Holy Place, which was hidden from His people by a
sacred curtain. Only the high priest,
and only once a year, was he allowed to enter through the sacred curtain with
the sacrificial blood of animals as an offering for all the sins of Israel. But
now we are under the new covenant of grace that was fully paid for with the
blood of Jesus. The moment our Savior
gave up His Spirit in death, the sacred curtain that separated sinful man from
the Most Holy God was ripped in two, making it possible for all men and women
to personally be in the Presence of God no matter where they are.
And
with this new covenant comes a new friendship with God, for He shares His
Spirit, giving us the power to understand His secrets as we read and study the
Book of God’s Story from Creation to Revelation. When you have true fellowship with the Author
of Life, my friends, He listens closely to the secrets that trouble your soul
and offers you comfort and peace while sharing His secrets of salvation and
redemption. Never take for granted the
sacrifice God made to save your eternal life from Hell, and don’t ever pass up
the chance to be called His friend, because without His friendship, this dark
world will hunt you down and draw you into its darkness until there is no way
out!
A
Whisper of Hope
I invite you,
My child…to come into My Presence where we can share our secrets. For it is through our relationship that you
find the truth about life and death. To
be a friend of God you must fear and respect My sovereignty and never doubt My
faithfulness, for I Am called Faithful and True. To be a friend of the King is a glorious
blessing; one that will last forever.
John 15:15
“No longer do
I call you servants, for the servant does
not know what
his master is doing; but I have called
you friends, for
all things that I have heard from My
Father I have
made known to you. (NKJ)
But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets.
(Daniel
2:28)
