“Forevermore”  

 2 Peter 3:13-14

But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth He

has promised, a world where everyone is right with God.  And so,

dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make

every effort to live a pure and blameless life.  And be at peace with God.  (NLT)

     By knowing and believing this incredible promise from God gives us the peace of God, which helps us endure the troubles of this fallen world and remain faithful in Christ.  When we accept the blood of Jesus as the atonement for our many sins, we are motivated to live the life that God calls us to live.  But because of our sinful nature, it is easy for us to let our guard down and get sucked into the sinful pleasures of this evil world, which gets us down and discouraged because of our failure. But when we bring our sin to God, His forgiveness makes us, once again, right with Him and we can feel safe and secure knowing that He keeps all of His promises.  Without the eternal promises of God, there is no hope, no peace, and no lasting joy while living in this world that denies God and hates His Son.

     We live in a dying world that is morally decaying. The only thing this fallen world can truly promise and deliver is death and damnation, because the god of this world is Satan.  When all you have is from the world, you will lose it, because it will all be taken away when you die, leaving you with no hope, only darkness and regret for the wrong choices you made.  But when you follow the Way of Jesus and are adopted into God's eternal family, you have His promise as your hope and everything to look forward to.  You have the Holy Spirit helping you live a pure and blameless life in a world that is evil in its wicked ways.  So where is your hope and peace, my friend?  If it's in this world beware, for your future is bleak.  But if your hope is in the promises of God, your life is forevermore bright!

                                                            A Whisper of Hope

There is no peace, dear child... to be found in this immoral world that has strayed away from Me.  There are times when you may feel peace, but then this fallen world takes it away from you.  My peace is eternal. The world's peace is a false peace that dies with you.

Isaiah 9:6-7

For a child is born to us, a Son is given to us.  And the government

will rest on His shoulders.  These will be His royal titles: Wonderful 

Counselor,Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.  His ever 

expanding, peaceful government will never end.  He will rule forever 

with fairness and justice from the throne of His ancestor David.  The 

passionate commitment of the LORD Almighty will guarantee this!  (NLT)

 For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ.
