                          “Our Only Hope”
 1 John 1:9
But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just
to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.  (NLT)

When we confess our sins (rebellion against God's holiness) to the Lord, we are admitting His authority over our lives, which is the way He created it to be.  God is the One who creates us and the only One who can destroy us.  And He is also the One who personally sacrificed His life to cleanse us from our sins that would have otherwise rendered a guilty verdict that carried the death sentence in the prisons of Hell; the eternal death penalty that forever separates us from God’s Presence.  Christ Jesus purchased this freedom from a certain death sentence with His blood. But the Lord does not force us to accept His gift of a not guilty charge, because He wants us to seek His righteous council instead.  He wants us to know the Truth about how and why He sacrificed His life to save us.
Jesus Christ is our God in the flesh.  He knows firsthand the punishment that unrepentant sin brings us. Because we are created by a perfectly Holy and Sovereign God, He is always faithful and is filled with all the mercy and grace that we need, especially when it comes to standing before Him on Judgment Day.  God wants us in His family so we can share the inheritance that is in Christ Jesus.   There is no better Advocate than the Son of God.  He sits at the right hand of the Father pleading your case and covering your guilt. Jesus is defending you against the Accuser; the greatest Enemy of God and your soul.  Let no one sugar coat your guilt against the holiness of God.  Without the testimony of the Lamb of God as your Advocate, you are guilty as charged.  He has the Final say and is perfectly fair in all His judgments.  If you are found guilty my friend, it's forever.  There will be no more chances, and no hope for parole.

                                      A Whisper of Hope
Your only hope for acquittal, dear child…is found in My mercy and grace.  I can clear the record and wipe your sin slate clean, but you must confess and put your life in My hands.  For when you do, you will stand blameless and pure on Judgment Day. I AM your only Hope.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
Yet now God in His gracious kindness declares us not guilty.
He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by
taking away our sins.  (NLT)

We are no longer slaves to sin.
For when we died with Christ we were set free.
                               (Romans 6:6, 7)
