One Who Saves

Isaiah 43:2-3

When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be

with you.  When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not

drown!  When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will

not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.  For I am

the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. (NLT)

God gave this message to His people Israel to give them hope and encouragement.  When we choose Jesus Christ as our Lord God and Savior; living His Way and loving Him with all our hearts, souls, and minds, this message is for us as well.  For we can be confident that our Savior will keep us safe amidst the onslaught of evil attacks from the devil and his dark world that is headed for destruction.  And we can also be sure that the power of God will keep us free from the sin that had once held us captive and on the road to destruction.  This fallen world is spinning wildly out of control and is mercilessly oppressing most of its people, and so, it's not hard for us to question God’s authority or doubt that He is really in control.  This is why we must hold firmly to the Truth that we have in our Great God and Savior, King Jesus, because when our hearts are being filled with fear and doubt, Satan takes advantage of these weak moments and we are  tempted to lose hope and be discouraged. 

     But because of the atoning work of Jesus on the Cross, we can now come into the Holy Presence of the Living God just as we are, filled with fear and doubt.  And it is there in His Presence that we receive God's comfort and peace, because He reaffirms our hope that no matter what this world does to us, we will not die, but for a moment.  And this my friend, removes our fears and renews our faith.  And with the renewal of our hearts and minds, comes the joy of knowing the Lord and that He is watching and waiting for just the right moment to bring all things together for the Good of His Glory.  With our renewed hope for salvation we can reach out to the many lost and hopeless souls with the Good News Message of eternal life through Christ Jesus—that He defeated sin and death for everyone in the world to embrace.

I Am the Redeemer, child…the only One who holds your eternal destiny in His hands.  When your life is in My hands, no matter what troubles you may face, I am always there to help you overcome.  When you trust in the Power of My Word, I will renew your strength and bring you hope.  Life in Me is life eternal—life as it was meant to be.

Psalm 25:5

Lead me by Your truth and teach me,

     for you are the God

               who saves me. 

     All day long I put my hope

               in You.  (NLT)

                          Be strong, and do not fear,

            for your God is coming to destroy

        your enemies. He is coming to save you.

                           (Isaiah 35:4)
