                                Place to Rest
Hebrews 4:9-10
So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God.
For all who enter into God's rest will find rest from their
labors, just as God rested after creating the world.  (NLT)

Although we know the Lord is preparing a special place for His children to forever rest from the labors of this difficult world, He also wants us to know that He is our place of rest right now in this life.  We live in a busy world that demands much from us, with many decisions to make and much labor to be done.  Our days and nights can be filled with worry, concerns about tomorrow and regrets for yesterday's debacles.  But even though we know we need the time to rest and renewal our strength or this life's business will take its toll and we will either ware down or break down, we still fail to heed God's wisdom to rest. We need the Lord's rest, not only for our weakened bodies sake, but to renew our hearts, minds, and souls in Christ Jesus as well.  We were not made to live without God.
I know there is no better Place to rest than in the arms of our Lord God and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Just being in the Lord's Presence brings rest for both your tired body and your weary soul.  In the renewing Presence of the Living God you find healing and restoration for your brokenness.  You find comfort knowing that your Savior is always close at hand, watching over you like the Good Shepherd He is.  He gives you strength to persevere in your troubles and the courage to face any new ones.  What an awesome Place you have to rest from life, my friend.  For without Him there is no true rest, especially from the demands of this busy world filled with evil.  When you take the time to rest in the Lord, you can be sure that you will come out stronger and wiser than when you entered into it.  For the renewing is both life changing, life-saving!

                  A Whisper of Hope
Rest in Me, dear child...for your burdens are heavy and sometimes overwhelming.  When you rest in Me I will take those burdens from you and give you My Peace, which will comfort your soul and quiet your troubled heart.  I AM your infinite Resting Place and Burden Bearer.

Psalm 16:8-9, 11
I know the LORD is always
     with me.
I will not be shaken, for He
     is right beside me.
No wonder my heart is glad,
     and I rejoice.
My body rests in safety.
You will show me the way of life,
granting me the joy of Your
      presence.  (NLT)

He heals the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds.
                                      (Psalm 146:3)
