                               Nowhere to Hide
Proverbs 28:13
He who covers his sin will not
      prosper,
but whoever confesses and forsakes
      them will have mercy.  (NKJ)

It is wise to believe that our Sovereign God knows and sees all things, even the most inner secrets of our hearts and minds, because thinking we can hide anything from our all-knowing, all seeing God is frivolous and foolish. Thus, no one can successfully serve two masters (such as sin and God) and get away with it, especially when the One knows all and sees all. We cannot enjoy the pleasures of our sin hoping to cover it up with our good works, for our God will not be mocked nor manipulated. When we set our minds to it, we can fool other people most of the time, but not so with God.  The best and wisest way to live this life is to always be upfront and honest with the Lord, because He is the One who holds our destiny in His hands.  For the Lord God accepts everyone with a humble and contrite heart, but He rejects all those who are too wise and too proud to submit.
You cannot fight your fallen human nature to sin without God and win, even if you give it your best shot, because your human flesh is weak and the urge to sin is natural.  Unless you have the power of God through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit you will fail. Without God's help you will continue in our secret love affair with sin, thinking you have the upper hand.  But when you surrender to the Lord my friend, He will give you the victory over the power of sin and you will no longer have to live in shame and guilt.  Jesus forgives and forgets and then empowers you to be holy as He is holy.

                               A Whisper of Hope
Hate your sin, My child...and love the Forgiver.  Don't try to hide in the darkness of your sin, for in Me, there is no darkness.  Rather than trying to hide your sin from Me, bring them into the Light and be honest.  It will bring My mercy and grace into your brokenness.

1 Peter 3:12
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right,
and His ears are open to their prayers.  But the Lord
turns His face against those who do evil.  (NLT)

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted,
He rescues those who are crushed in spirit.
                                  (Psalm 34:18)
