A Right Life

Ephesians 5:3, 5, 6

Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among

you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. You can be

sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the

Kingdom of Christ and of God.  Don’t be fooled by those who try

to excuse these sins, for the terrible anger of God comes upon

all those who disobey Him.  (NLT)

     Our Father in Heaven has made it quite clear that we are to live right.  We are expected to obey His Laws—holy and just laws that are of great value in this life and eternal value in the next.  Being the natural born sinners that we are, obeying God is not an easy task for anyone, especially for those of us who have lived many lawless years without knowing it.  I lived many years obeying man’s laws and ignoring God's, because I saw God has an angry God who purposely made this life difficult so He could send us into eternal Hell and not have to deal with us again.  I saw a God who consciously made it impossible for us to live right.  And with this misguided view, I went out into the world trying to live a good life, but knowing I would never be good enough, which left me feeling depressed, empty, and filled with a hopelessness that was, indeed, very dark.  But by the mercy and grace of God, the Lord opened my eyes to the Truth and I began to see this difficult life as it truly is.  And with my new-found revelation I saw the world, this difficult life, and my own personal life, in the Light of God's Truth and my existence took on a whole new meaning with an everlasting purpose. 

      This fallen world and its people are under the curse of sin because of the deceitful, wicked ways of the devil, and neither Satan nor this fallen world wants us to know the goodness of God and His plan for man.  The devil has a plan, but God has a better one.  The devil’s plan is death and destruction, God’s plan is eternal life.  And the moment you know God's Plan, you will change course and move away from the things that make you an enemy of God—things that are wicked and immoral.   Befriending a world that hates God and could care less about you is not only foolish, but this world will eventually turn against you, leaving you empty handed and alone.  But know this, my friend, as long as you have the breath of life in your lungs and your wits about you, you have the opportunity to choose God’s Plan and escape the plan of Satan that is sucking this world into darkness.  And with the power of God in your heart, you will be able to overcome this sin cursed world, and share in the goodness and glory of God's Plan, which is the greatest Plan ever this side of Heaven!

                                   A Whisper of Hope

When you live in Me, dear child…I will live in you, and no matter what this fallen world does, I will give you the power to fight it and the peace to accept it.  Do not believe the lies of the Enemy and his world, for they only seek to destroy you.  I, on the other hand, will bring you everlasting life.

1 John 5:20

And we know that the Son of God has come, 

and He has given us understanding so that 

we can know the true God.  And now we are 

in God because we are in His Son, Jesus Christ. 

He is the only true God, and He is eternal life. (NLT)
