           The God Equation
Jeremiah 9:24
But let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands
and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises loving-
kindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight
in these things, declares the LORD.  (NASB)

As sinful people living in a sinful world, we have little or nothing to boast about other than the mercy and grace of our Lord God and Savior. This fallen world has no shortage of prideful people who hold themselves in the highest esteem, whether they are successful or not. Those that have succeeded often pat themselves on the back, giving little credit to anyone or anything for their success.  But in reality, these kinds of people are denying the sovereignty of God and putting themselves above the Creator who sustains all life.  Throughout the history of mankind, people have been blind sighted by the lies of Satan who wants everyone to believe that they are the captain of their souls and in control of their destiny.  This godless world view of self-importance and self-love is taught to us from the time we are born.  Human beings have never been and never will be in control of anything even though we are brain washed into believing we are.  Without the Creator there is only chaos, because it is the power of God's Word that keeps the universe in tune so we can breathe and live.  Our Lord God is the One who is in total control—we on the other hand, are out of control.
There are only two major choices to make that will shape our lives and determine our eternal destiny.  We can surrender to the Lord and let Him lead the charge, or we can go our own way to walk with the devil and let him satisfy our sinful lusts.  The first choice leads to Heaven, the second choice leads to Hell.  The first choice teaches us the absolute truth and we experience peace and the joy of knowing the Lord, while the second choice leads to deceit, confusion, uncertainty, and the fear of death.  When you ride with the Lord and let Him do the driving, your journey through this life will not end in vain, but to the start of a glorious journey without end.  You can choose to live on our own and hope for the best results, or you can choose God and get the best.

                                       A Whisper of Hope
Be humble and contrite, dear child…and follow the One who gives and sustains your life.  You can be pleased with your accomplishments, but remember from whom all things come.  When you journey with Me in charge, you will find true purpose in this life and vast riches in the next.

Job 34:14-15
If God were to take back His Spirit and withdraw His breath,
all life would cease, and humanity would turn again to dust.  (NLT)

Boast only of what the Lord has done.
                              (2 Corinthians 10:17)
