Life Healing
Mark 2:16-17
And when the scribes and
Pharisees saw Him eating with
the tax collectors and
sinners, they said to His disciples,
“How is it that He eats and
drinks with tax collectors and
sinners?” When Jesus heard
it, He said to them, “Those
who are well have no need
of a physician, but those who
are sick. I did not come to
call the righteous, but sinners,
to repentance.” (NKJ)
There
are those who recognize their sin infected condition and turn to the only One
who can heal their wounds and stop the infection that leads to death. And there are others who think they are
either immune to the infection, or they are too proud to admit they are
infected, or they simply deny the reality of their sickness. And there are still others who believe they can
heal themselves. But the Truth is, my
friends, without the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ, there is no hope of
stopping the infection that decays the spirit and kills the soul. Jesus was the spotless Lamb of God, whose
sacrifice cleansed our infection and saved us from eternal death. And it is the poor in spirit that are first
on His list to be healed and saved—the people who are desperately searching for
hope that would give them some peace about the array of discouraging circumstances
that living in this fallen world brings them.
Jesus
came to heal the sick and to save the downtrodden, not to make the healthy or
the proud feel good about themselves. He
came to rescue those who are wandering like lost sheep, afraid, alone, wounded
and dying, with no hope and no future.
Our Savior came, He saw, and He healed the sin condition of man, and in
the process defeated the power of Satan.
He paid the price for our sins and brought us back into the Presence of
our Holy God. Since the dawn of time we
have been infected with sin and death and the only cure is found in our Great
God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without
Jesus there is only death and darkness.
You cannot deny the Truth and live.
A Whisper of Hope
I AM your only Hope, child…that can save you from the
darkness of death that sin has infected you with. The power of sin is puny when compared to My
Power. When you live in Me, you have
nothing to fear, for My Power is greater than your weakness.
1 Chronicles 29:11
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power and
the
glory, the victory and the majesty; for all that
is in
Heaven and in Earth is Yours; Yours is the
Kingdom,
O LORD, and you are exalted as Head over
all. (NKJ)
If we say we have no sin,
we are only fooling
ourselves
and
refusing to accept the truth.
(1 John 1:9)
